Reef Karim

Reef Karim is a physician and psychiatrist and is the host of the television show, House of Clues which airs on Court TV. He has also acted in movies such as, Lords of Dogtown (2005), Night of Henna (2005), and Flavors (2004). He occasionally appears on CNN as a psychiatric commentator. In 2004, Karim was named on of "The Sexiest Men Alive" by People magazine.[1]

Karim also serves as the executive director of the Control Center, a Beverly Hills psychiatric facility that treats patients with behaviorial addictions. He formerly worked as a specialist at UCLA's Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.[1]

Dr. Reef Karim, (Dr. Reef) is a medical physician, psychiatrist, addiction medicine specialist and relationship therapist. He is an assistant clinical professor at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and the executive director of The Control Center, an outpatient integrative treatment center for behavioral addictions and dating & relationship therapy. Dr. Reef has appeared on television and talk shows including: Oprah, Larry King Live, Anderson Cooper 360, ABC's Nightline, The Today Show, O'Reilly Factor, and Chelsea Lately. He hosted "House of Clues" on Court TV and is a regular commentator on CNN's Headline News and CNN's Jane Velez Mitchell show. He has also worked in radio - working with Tim Conway Jr on 97.1 FM and as a guest host on KROQ's Loveline. Dr. Reef also works as a medical consultant for television shows and movies including: TV's "Private Practice" and "Alias" and Film's "Laurel Canyon", "Lords of Dogtown" and "Thirteen".

Dr. Reef is also a strong advocate for mental health and addiction issues. He has volunteered and traveled across the globe educating and assisting those in need. He lectured physicians on the effects of acute stress disorder and post traumatic stress disorder after the Tsunami in India. He worked on the front lines after the 09/11 tragedy and he regularly lectures at youth and college organizations on the topics of sex, drugs and relationships.

Reef Karim was voted one of People Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in late 2004 for his work in medicine, advocacy and entertainment.

Reef also has a strong performer background. He starred in the movie "Flavors" in 2004 and he's acted in the movies "Laurel Canyon", "Lords of Dogtown" and "Force of One". Reef also has worked in improv and performs stand up at well known comedy clubs including: The Comedy Store and The Improv.
